Dan Mintz is a highly experienced technology leader and educator with a passion for leveraging innovative technologies like Mixed Reality and AI to enhance learning experiences.
Professional Journey Most recently, Dan served as the Department Chair for IT Technology at the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC), where he spearheaded the “Immersive Pilot” program to bring Virtual Reality (VR) into the classroom. Before that, he served as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the US Department of Transportation (2006-2009), managing a $2.5 billion IT portfolio. He has also held leadership roles at Powertek, CSC, and Sun Microsystems.
